

JORDYN JACKSON

In 2022, Jordyn began interning for The Cruz Show in Los Angeles on Real 92.3 FM. She was there to assist the producer, Jeff Garcia, with editing audio production, helping artists and the crew during interviews, as well as editing content for their social media page.
After graduating college, Jordyn starting working at iHeart as a broadcast producer. Her responsibilities are you be the second pair of eyes for all of the FM radio stations in the building. This requires you to be able to upload audio tracks or mixes, as well as having knowledge on how to edit audio on Adobe Audition or Pro Tools. As a broadcast producer you also have to make sure all commericals and songs are playing on time for every station, as well as answering contests winners and answering the stations phone calls.
Film
As a film minor at Woodbury University, Jordyn Jackson has experience in the entertainment field. She has had practice being a director, writer and editor of her own short film in her Film Productions class, as well as being a Production Assistant for a few senior thesis's.
Within the film industry, Jordyn has advanced skills and four years of experience in video editing. In addition to Adobe Premiere Pro, which is the software she is most proficient at, she has also worked with Final Cut Pro and iMovie.
Jordyn has also begun working in sound, such as editing sound in Adobe Audition. For her senior thesis, she is creating a podcast episode that includes interviews, music, and sound effects. She has great interest in sound mixing in ost production as well.


Communications
With communications as her Major, Jordyn has years of experience in the communications field. Her passion and goal is to work in the music industry. Working with sound has been a skill Jordyn has developed over the years, and with this she has been able to work with software programs such as Adobe Audition and Audacity.
With this prowess, Jordyn has had the ability to create her own radio podcast at Woodbury University. Her show is called "Hit Different", and within the episodes her and her partner, Antonio, discuss current events, trends in the media, and new music that's been released.
Along with having her own show, Jordyn also has internship experience on Dash Radio, Hollywood (Summer 2018), and Idobi Radio, North Hollywood (2019- 2020). Within these internships, she's been able to grow through social networking and running the shows' social media accounts; making Jordyn well-rounded when it comes to networking and public relations.
